Cypress Wellhead Services offers a comprehensive greasing program, “Cypress Preventative Maintenance” (CPM), designed to extend the life of Christmas trees at a fraction of the cost of new or partial replacements. Our program uses top-of-the-line greases to withstand the harsh environments that wellheads are exposed to. Our CW-171 grease, a heavy gate valve grease, combines synthetic natural graphite and additives to provide superior lubrication and protection. The CW-187 grease contains molybdenum disulfide, forming a long-lasting lubricant film that protects against friction, high shock loads, and extreme pressure. These heavy greases also fill minor imperfections, enhancing valve sealing even when gates or seats are worn.
Additionally, our CW-400 bonnet grease is a multipurpose, water-repellent grease that excels in washout resistance, extending lubrication intervals and bearing life. We also offer high-quality packing for “M” model valves, which interacts with chevron packing to create an effective seal, protecting bonnet components from leaks.
Our CPM program is designed as a preventative measure to keep valves operational, avoiding the high costs associated with equipment failure, technician visits, and service unit deployment. Based on years of data collection, we recommend greasing oil well valves at least once per year and gas well valves twice per year to maintain proper lubrication of bearings, bonnets, gates, and seats. This proactive approach can save your company tens of thousands in repair costs.
